orange turmeric tea tree (the acne crusher)

I call this soap the acne crusher. It’s absolutely amazing for treating acne and minor skin issues. This is the PERFECT combination of tea tree and orange and turmeric and bentonite clay. This soap has everything. It smells citrusy bright fresh and a little bit astringent. It is hard to describe the scent but when you smell it you will understand why it is one of my most popular bars. It contains some powerful and wonderful plants:

Tea Tree has a clean scent and was prized by the Aboriginal people in Australia for thousands of years. It is a natural antiseptic and opens the lungs when inhaled. It is a natural remedy for acne and even eczema and psoriasis. Tea tree oil makes an ideal natural hand sanitizer. Studies have shown that it kills several common bacteria and viruses responsible for causing illness, including E. coli, S. pneumoniae and H. influenzae. It is so powerful that during World War 1, before antibiotics were invented, it was issued to the Australian army to treat and disinfect gunshot wounds. The scent of tea tree is also a natural insect repellent. Tea tree oil may help keep pesky insects away! How awesome is that?! Tea tree oil’s antibacterial effects may help control underarm odor related to perspiration as well. Tea tree oil may help relieve inflamed skin. A common form of skin irritation is contact dermatitis, which occurs when skin comes in contact with an allergen, such as nickel. Exposure to the allergen leads to red, itchy and sometimes painful skin. Research suggests that tea tree oil may help reduce the severity of these symptoms. In addition, tea tree oil may provide relief from bug bite reactions by reducing the itching, redness and swelling that occurs when your body releases histamine to defend against the insect’s saliva.

The next ingredient is fresh Orange, hand harvested in Redlands, California. Orange will sweeten the scent as well as condition and clean. Orange oil is known for its many benefits. Orange oil helps suppress microbial activity. The scent of orange is used to treat anxiety and depression. Aromatherapy with orange essential oil appears to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Orange is also a mild natural pain reliever. Orange also aids against the premature aging of the skin.

Turmeric is the orange spice n the top of this soap. It is mildly exfoliating and smells wonderful. Turmeric is known of its anti oxidant properties and has been prized in Asia for it’s almost magical ability to keep one looking and feeling young. It also helps prevent acne scaring!
Finally, bentonite clay, soothing and wonderful for the skin, is added to top of the whole medley. One side of the bar is a little abrasive to clear odd dead skin cells. The other side is soothing.
