japanese sake cedar + seaweed

I was very much inspired to make this soap after listening to a podcast about Japanese Geisha culture. I was fascinated by their all natural beauty regimen with simple techniques, natural ingredients, and time tested results. I went down the rabbit hole of research and recipes and created this truly special bar. It is a simply combination of seaweed, cedar oil, and real Japanese sake! It smells earthy and woody with a salty kick. Picture yourself walking through a thick and damp cedar forest. The narrow trail opens up into a rocky beach with waves crashing salt spray onto the air. I tried to get all of that into this little square of soap.
I put a lot of Cedar in this soap. Cedar oil is great for the skin. in fact, it is one of my favorite oils, not simply for the smell, but for the wonderful properties it has. On a side note, its smell is said to reduce anxiety and promote better sleep. Not like you need it, but it keeps bugs away. Cedar oil is also highly effective when used as an acne treatment. Cedar oil is also very useful for cleaning as it kills bacteria.
Kelp has been a beauty secret used by multiple cultures from Japan to Scandinavia. In addition to reducing acne inflammation, sea kelp can also help keep skin conditions like rosacea under control. It is also very rich in B vitamins and is anti-inflammatory. Kelp has also been used by many cultures to help with skin conditions like rosacea and inflammation. Sea kelp provides a lot of anti-aging benefits and can promote younger-looking skin all around. Kelp is rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C promotes collagen production and can help keep skin youthful. Sea kelp also brightens the skin. Seaweed contains niacin, which is good for brightening and hyperpigmentation. But the truly unique aspect of this soap is the smell. It smells almost mystical. It's scent is almost like a foggy sea next to the woods.
Sea salt is also great for your skin. Sea salt water is packed up numerous skin-healing minerals. Magnesium, calcium, and potassium help to absorb toxins in the body and promote the healing process. That's why it is a miracle worker for acne and infections. The magnesium is an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent, effective at getting rid of acne. Salt helps to cleanse pores deeply, balance oil production and thwart bacteria that can instigate breakouts and acne.
